Rumez / Thanks for posting! I feel sorry for fellow Parsi speaking Tajiks! With their beautiful pronunciations! I'd bring their young players and let them practice in our omid level league so that they improve! Rumez / Japan, Korea, Australia and Jordan seem to be decent teams. Tajiks have goalie? What? Ali.Karimi79 / Poor Tajiks, they got demolished. Feel bad for them. Japan is such a beast. Who is the tall guy from Japan number 16? He doesn't look japanese. GoIran / Mike Havenaar. His parents are from Netherlands. 'Flying Dutchman' lifts Japanese hopes http://news.asiaone.com/News/Latest%...12-304662.html Ali.Karimi79 / Thank you Golran jan! Shayan_M / Horrible goalkeeping. Tajikistan would have never lost that high if they had a decent goalie! Who is the tall guy from Japan number 16? He doesn't look japanese. ̄ ̄∨ ̄ ̄ (三彡二ミ) (三彡二ミ)( ・┏┓・ ) <Mike Havenaar. allan123 / Wcq Second Round (scenario) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Yestarday I Think In These Teams For The Second Round From Group 5 1.Iran 2.Qatar From Group 4 1.Australia 2.Saudi Arabia(because S. Arabia Play The Next 2 Games In Home) From Group 3 1.S.Korea 2.Kuwait Group 2 1.Japan 2.Uzbekistan Group 1 1.Jordan 2.Iraq Pool 1 Japan And Australia Pool 2 Iran And S.korea Pool 3 S.arabia And Uzbekistan Pool 4 Iraq And Qatar Pool 5 Jordan And Kuwait

allan123 / For example Iran can Draw in this group (Very Hard) 1. Australia 2.Iran 3.Saudi Arabia 4.Iraq 5.Jordan
Or
In this group (Very Easy) 1.Japan 2.Iran 3.Uzbekistan 4.Qatar 5.Kuwait Kamal0098 / I don't know why for some reason you think saudi arabia has good football. They never did and never will . (this is a fact). They are in dip Shlt right now, they sacked their old coach and this new coach is no better. Saudi arabia went to win the match against thailand, and they gave their 100% but they ended up with a draw. Seriously what is the chance that saudi arabia beat Australia in sydney? IMO From Group 4 : Australia and thailand . (三彡二ミ) / (・┏┓・)⊃ <Very Hard or Very Easy 〜/U / . レ レ

Saam / Looks like 2nd Round is gonna be tough GoIran / Japan > Australia Uzbekistan >> Saudi Arabia Iraq > Qatar Jordan >> Kuwait TM4LIFE / Looks like the second round will be though for us.. but thank god we wont have South Korea in our group again! Every tournament we are in, they are our opponents! I want us to play Aussies and 8-0ers, Australia because we havent played them in a long time and im curious, 8-0ers so we can give them a nice whooping for all the trouble theyve given us... AliCarbon / The three tough teams for us will be Japan, Australia and S. Korea... If we get one of them it's manageable, if we get two then it will get much harder. That would however be true for every team in the group. Mort Nejad / ^We can't get South Korea. We can only get either Japan or Australia * (三彡二ミ) * (´) ・┏┓・)) <thank god we wont have South Korea in our group again! + 〉 ノ * (<_⌒> ノ . + ヽ,_,>

KasraKhan / I've been dying for TM to play against Australia again. It would be for the first time since that eventful night in Melbourne in 1997. I want to see how we would match up against them and how we would fare. AliCarbon / I rather get the japs since they are the Asian Champs and have beaten us in the last couple of encounters (last one I remember is from 98 qualifying playoff with a golden goal) so I wanna show them who's boss! Plus it's good for our boys who live there to get some respect. Aussies will be coming for revenge and I don't like bad blood! Hashemian9 / I want Japan. The logic being hopefully Japan, as the top team in Asia can pound the teams seeded 3-5 in the group and help to eliminate them early and also qualify early. This makes our road easier as games at the end will likely be played against teams already eliminated, or a team already qualified as opposed to in the past where there were 4 teams fighting for survival in the last 2 matches where any crazy thing can happen. I'm not saying I don't have confidence in TM, just that I'd rather see us in WC 2014 than not, so any way you get there is fine. Saam / I just hope we don't get Saudi because no matter how bad they are they always screw us ali alipour / Actually getting saudi right now would be good since they suck right now and we could beat them in saudi and celebrate just like they did. I've been dying for TM to play against Australia again. ∨ (三彡二ミ) (三彡二ミ) ( ・┏┓・) (・┏┓・ ) <I want Japan. ( つ日 ) ( ) ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄旦 ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄

dokhtar92irooni / I don't really have anything against the Japanese,Koreans or Aussies just the Arabs piss me off. But it would be nice if we could beat them cause they are the powerhouses of Asia and to be able to beat such a team means a lot adcomptech / Japooni's are miles ahead of aussies currently ... they're consistenly producing and they are the deepest asian side with so many legionares and prospects. Trust me, next year in time for round 2, they'll be even stronger but aussies will be older and more susceptible ... let's wish for the boyz from down under if we want an easier road 2 brazil ehsan singapore / i dnt care who we meet , just meet a team qaulify for wc! TheAli / Don't care which team we meet as we have to perform really well to qualify. But I think we have the best chance with: Iran Australia Saudi -- -- We play best against teams like Australia that are physical (rather than Korea and Japan). We will revenge against Saudi by beating them in Riyadh. And please, no more S. Korea. Tired of seeing them playing "khers vasat". They just don't fit our style. While we have the potential of beating some mid-Euro teams we are inferior against these guys. Wish Iran the best of luck. webmaster / Guys, if we play like we played against Bahrain, I dont care to play in the tough group. This way we will get great warm-up matches for the world cup itself. We have to extend our visions and see further to be able to progress. Iran in reality is above Asia. We needed a coach that knows how to play in the world scene and I think we are ready. I think beating Bahrain like that will be the turning point for our bad lucks in Asia. Its time we really step up a notch. euphory / i think we can beat all 3 aus, japs and koreans, we have the talent & the mindset with the help of queiroz ofcourse. i bet before the next round starts wich is actually called round 3 and not 2. it'll be 18th of June 2012. whoever we are going to play. i bet queiroz has them ized very good, and before that we will get an opponent who is as good as them with a s omewhat similar playing style to get our tactics done correctly. i dont care if we play anyone of them. with the talents we have in our TM now. and more european based talents joining teammelli. it wil only make the battle for the starting 11 better thus players will get better 2. we have a great team guys so lets try and get the best out of it. and before june 18 we wil be much MUCH better than what we displayed against bahrain

GoIran / We are getting better and better under professor CQ but a big win against 10-man Bahrain doesn't mean a success in Asia/World. Remember we owned Jamaica 8-0 or so before the 2007 Asian Cup. OFFSIDE_1 / It was a demoralized 10 man team at Azadi. we have not been tested. Indonesia, Qatar and the Maldives are not Japan , Australia or s.Korea. ehsan singapore / you are right but remmber maldives drew korea and korea coach got fired..... so no team is easy...plus take a game at a time..... saudi have been poor till now losing so many games and thier coach is still there... if we had lost at home cq head would have been asked

perspolisi / Aside from Australia I think the only other team that can give us problems is Uzbekistan. I'd love to have Saudi Arabia drawn with us just to get revenge... they are at their worst form of the century perhaps! Another 6-nil thrashing would be nice We usually do well against Japan. Iraq, Qatar, Jordan and Kuwait are no match really. ehsan singapore / i hope that saudi dont make it up...would be even more happy persianfire / Past is past. We haven't played against Japan since 2005 and today their first 11 is full of starting members at Euro-clubs. I'm not confident that we can beat them even in Azadi. dokhtar92irooni / I think we have the potential to beat Uzbekistan Camran khan / Japan is still a head of us, maybe soon but not yet, we're not ready but come on guys, Uzbekistan??? We can beat them... payman.T / It doesn't matter if we get Japan or Australia.... Whats important is the other 3 teams in the group. Japan or the aussies should be considered in. Now, can we be the other team ? That depends on the other 3. If we get 3 out of these 4 : Qatar,Kuwait,Jordan or Thailand then we should be good. I think we need to avoid Uzbak and Iraq. BTW I think KSA is history. OFFSIDE_1 / This Jordan team is dangerous. I would put them ahead of Uzbekistan or Iraq (三彡二ミ) <We usually do well against Japan. Persian Panther / I watched Australia V Oman live and I can tell you that our midfield is superior with Karimi in.. Their strikers are good and one of them is huge (Kennedy ), their defence is slow and midfield lacks creativity. Their full backs are young and speedy , their Keeper is as good as ours. I think we can get a point away and 3 points at home. khodam / Have you watched Australia play? They are slooooww! I bet you both of Austeailia and Japan are studying Iran right now. The positive is a coach like CQ is also studying them. But with this Iran squad and coach they (especially AUS) is shitting their pants now as they are the second team in the group. dokhtar92irooni / so we should use a young team against australia so they can outrun them khodam / I don't know about playing younger players. I just think TM is much quicker than AUS. |┃三 |┃ |┃ ≡ (三彡二ミ) ____.|ミ\_( ・┏┓・) <Have you watched Australia play? They are slooooww! |┃=__ \ |┃ ≡ ) 人 \ ガラッ
Iran is unstoppable in their current form, we might slip up and give away a draw here and there but I don't see us screwing up to the point where we don't make it. I don't care if we end up in the hardest possible group we'll still make it. This Iran side is in my opinion one of the best if not the best Iranian team in history and Queiroz has just begun his work. We're also about to have 2-3 new European players joining the team, which would make us even stronger for the next round. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the best Iranian team in history, well at least since i started following, was 96-98 and 2004-2006. this one is NOT on their level. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've never seen TM play such beautiful attacking football and barely let any attacks through at the same time against ANY team period, but that's exactly what we've been doing nonstop since CQ took over. 98 TM couldn't do that and neither could 2006 TM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- we are (IMO) the best in Asia currently actually. But I'd give the nod to Australia, Japan and South Korea due to past performance. But right now if you have a tournament with those four teams, Iran would likely win the tournament.
