>>1 Why don't you post in English, when you don't have someone to talk to? Writing is a good way to improve your speaking skill coz there's at least one thing in common between the two skills - putting into words what you have in mind. The point is, practice writing like when you speak, and then you speak better next time. Did I get point across well?
4 :
I mean, my point. sorry for the typo.
5 :
I See, thats a Good idea, thanks Dude! Lets Talk sometimes Shall we?
6 :
Yes, lets. Plus, let me make my point clearer. You can practice writing on your own even when there's no one to talk to. Post in English like when you are talking to yourself, mumbling. You might think it's absurd to do that, but believe me, that will help improve.
ok i Believe in you Your Speaking/writing Skill is enough to Convince me.,

I bet you anything that the person who built this thread was already bored with learning English and went away to kill time somewhere else on the internet.
19 :
Before I heard writing in English is good for the training speaking English,so can I join here?
>>24 No thanks. I prefer more interesting and exciting one to that boring one. Is there any other English learning materials you recommend that are so interesting they would keep me motivated. Thanks.
>>25 Okay, how about "Luke's English podcast"? Most of the podcast is kind of freetalk session (still has a theme) that gives you natural conversational English and is enough interesting that keeps you motivated he and his relatives' chat is funny.
34 :
Another advantage of Luke's English podcast is that the podcast doesn't have any script. The unscripted podcast is really exciting that you cannot guess what the topic will be.
35 :
Ooh, I mean, before the podcast is on air, there are completely no script that the host Luke speaks in natural way. the scripts of the podcast is sometimes available AFTER the podcast is on line.
36 :
The last line, I meant "the scripts are ..."
37 :

38 :
>>25 how about just watching and repeating the line of your favorite movies? i think thats much better than listening to some offcial boring english proglams lot more fun
39 :
I've found this Luke's english podcast bear vs shark,, who would win haha

More importantly, where has >>1 gone? He's responsible for the thread. He needs to appear to keep it going. If he gives up on it, then he should ask for the deletion of this thread. He should have known better than to creat a thread like this.
>>23 I suppose that you are a novice learner because I don't know how good you are at English. There are ideal resources for reading them aloud as following: 1. VOA Special English : This site writes by the limited words less than 2000 words, has a wide variety of topics and provides the mp3s of some of them. http://www.voanews.com/learningenglish/home/ 2. BBC Learning English : This is also one of the best site for English learners. In particular, 'Words in the news' is good for reading containing the transcripts and their mp3 file. With two resources, the contents allows us to practice under some methods like shadowing and repeating. However, vocabularies on the site might be harder than those of VOA Special English. http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/
44 :
>43 >'Words in the news',which has the transcripts and their mp3 file, is good for reading . >the contents allows us to practice them under some methods
>>52 Hmm, watching dramas sure is a good way to improve your English skills, and if there's a drama you are really into, you will improve at a much more faster rate, but no thanks. Dramas are generally too touch for me.
55 :
I'm sure the time will come soon when speaking computer software is available to the general public. With such software, there wouldn't be any need to find someone to talk with. If you speak to the computer, it will respond to you properly as if to talk with a living person.
No thanks. That's the most boring way to learn a language. I hate it when people recommend me to use boring stuff like that. You better come up with some good ideas to convince me to study hard. I'm as stubborn as diamond.
58 :
I have no idea why some people tend to become quite serious when it comes to learning English, I mean, I'm often nonplussed at their suggestion(s). Speaking about their first language, they wouldn't want to read boring textbooks to brush up on the language. I believe language learning should be fun, to begin with. Is that the key to keeping up this lonely and endless journey? Yeah, it's like cursed!
59 :
>>58 Hey! I think you are good enough at writing English. If you want to improve your oral skill, why don't you try the online lessons?
60 :
Online lessons!! They cost arms and legs! We are here to pick each other's brains and come up with better ideas to make learning English fun yet in a complimentary way! So I'm sorry to say this, but no, no thanks.
61 :
>>60 I've got some native skype friends. Chat with skype friends is the most efficient way to improve your English. There are really bad English speakers around the skype community so that the native speakers are really looking for relatively good English speakers such as you. because they cannot communicate with bad English speakers and they are frustrated. Sometimes you have to teach Japanese to them, but don't worry, most of them doesn't speak Japanese at all, most of chat is by English and if you teach 一 is one, they are happy. There are a lot of oppotunity to make your English natural.
HA!! You seem to forget one big fact here. When in conversation with someone, if you ask the person in front of you to speak slowly or articulately and clearly, s/he will make sure you can understand. On the other hand, you'll be completely stuck if you are silent even when in trouble understanding. Just like that.
>>70 thanks for the recommendation what device do you use to record your own voice? cassette tape? never done it before
73 :
>>72 I recommend iPod Touch to record your own voice. The recording quality of iPod is really good than other similar silicon voice recorders you can record virtually anywhere. Of course you don't need to rewind your casette tape. Extremely easy to listen to your own voice. iPod touch costs only \15500, and as you know this is a versatile device so that you can use it to listen to podcasts, to learn words, to chat with foreign friends via skype, etc... virtually you can do anything by iPod Touch.
74 :
>>73 your Information Convinced me to get that Ipod Touch I think i'll go get one TONIGHT!! thank you Sir
>>75 You are right. I apologize for the grammatical mistake. I'm an English learner so that my English is far from perfect. By the way don't afraid mistakes. Why don't you write your message in English?
77 :
i tried one of internet English schools Called rare job, but while talking, the connection goes off very often, how am i Supposed to do?
>>77 There is a good place for a person like you. It's called "Chiebukuro."
82 :
I want to repent for giving you a trifle thing like that
83 :
>>77 If the source of connection troubles are not you, but to the side of teachers, you had better demand for teacher to report the trouble to Rarejob and to have them arrange another class through Rarejob's administrator. In detail, please read the notice in Rarejob's webpage.
84 :12/01/03
>>83 thanks, you helped me a lot I've had them arrange another lesson, I want to try several trial lessons from several online schools
